Sony Taking PS3 Online Seriously

Can I get an amen? Hell yes I can. Despite Sony saying they would not release a dedicated service and leave the online up to the developers of the games it would seem they have flip flopped. For once a change to Next-Gen consoles is good rather than some crappy downgrade. With the introduction of the new service Sony seeks to tackle the Xbox Live service head on and really over up some good'ol user interfaces for various games and media alike.

I expect the interface of the PS3 in general to resemble that of the PSP in it's sleek and easy to navigate menus, however what I am curious about is the cost and the benefits of this system to the PS3 buyers. After all Xbox 360's is what? 60 bucks or something and based on playing it on the original Xbox, it is highly worth it. Either way it will be sweet to see how this all unfolds when E3 rolls around.
