Bungie Stepping up AI

As we all know Bungie is a company that takes things fairly seriously, and with it's next project moving to the Xbox 360(Halo 3), they are really trying to step up there game not only as a company but in what we expect in our games. With the additional potential for better graphics and larger environments it is highly refreshing to know that Bungie recently hired Max Dyckhoff, whom will do nothing but AI, that means this man is not fiddling with the graphics, or the art, or any other aspect of the game. His sole purpose is to make the characters and enemies act as real as possible. Cheers to that.

Max had this to say in regards to what he does in an interview with Bungie staffer Brian.

"Hi Brian! Thanks for taking time out of your busy schedule to interview me - it's a real honour. I've been brought on board as a new Artificial Intelligence (AI) engineer. I work with Damian Isla on making the AI in the next game so amazing that it will make you feel as if you are playing with or against human players all of the time..

Seriously, Damian and I have a plethora of very cool ideas for things the AI characters can do that will draw you even deeper into the game world. I will be implementing behaviours in characters that will really engage the player – possibly even making them want to marry them."
