Gears of War Emergance Day 2006

While the hype on this game isn't as strong as I would like it to be, based on your guys votes in the poll of which Gears of War has a whopping 11 votes out of some 700+. Despite that the game does come out this year, however we still do not know an exact date. While Ebgames.com has been showing off the Oct 2nd date for sometime, it would seem that another party that's a little more reliable may have slipped up in revealing some truth behind that date. Eurogamer reports that Xbox.com listed the release date of the game as of Oct 2nd just recently and then quickly pulled the date from the Gears of War Index.

However none of this really changes everything, especially with Microsoft. Basically how release dates worth with Microsoft is, they come out when they say they do. So even if Gears of War is done tomorrow, they may hold the game back until say the Playstation 3 release date in order to combat it. This of course leads me to believe the game will be coming out in late October rather than earlier.
