Gears of War News Coming

Mark Rein of Epic Games recently stepped up to the plate on the Gears of War Message board in announcing news of an announcement (lol?). He would not say what exactly the forthcoming news was, however we know is that it's coming next week. While most of us want a demo, or even a Gold announcement (meaning the game is complete), I get the feeling it will be a release date.

Even 1up.com wants a release date, but if you ask me, the gamers would much rather a demo especially considering how hot and slow this summer has been.
