I have to admit getting the scoop on this type of story is rather crucial. For those of you that don't know I am a skateboarder and the reason this site has been slacking is because I been skateboarding so damn much. That aside, the guy that owns the skateshop I work at rolled up to the trade-show today and left me a text message that said Globe Shoes was making a Gears of War shoe. I started laughing and then did some google searches and shit and what do you know, no one knows about this bitch?
Anyway the picture is shoddy, when he sent it with his "verizon" phone it made me log into some bs and view the photo in this flash window that was 100 x 100 pixels wide... so i zoomed in and started screen capturing sections and pieced it together in photoshop. That's right I just spent 20 mins of my time to deliver this image to you so get stoked dammit. I wish he had an iphone so he could have just uploaded it to his flickr account, flippin noob.
Anyway as you can see the shoe features the gears of war logo on the side and on the inside of the sole. It also rocks Gears of War on the tag of the shoe, so yeah enjoy it, if your a globe fan maybe enough stores will order it to be produced? Expect this shit in the summer enjoy.

What's even funnier is that Sonic was already a category? haha. So yes, a new Sonic game is in the works and well when it's Bioware and RPG, well just about nothing can go wrong. One of the most interesting and appealing things to me in this type of game is the artwork, since sonic has sucked since basically the 2d era this is very important. Bioware is going for this cartoonish/watercolour style artwork. I am not sure how far away there going to be from something like Zelda:Wind Waker steez but I assume they will go in there own direction.

-Each character can do certain things ex: Tails can float over things (standard stuff)

-Bits of story - Sonic's on vacation from defeating Eggman 2 years ago. Gets a call from Tails that Knuckles has been kidnapped by a group called the Marauders, and that 6 chaos emeralds are missing. Eggman not the main villain. But Bioware wants to make him a creditable bad guy again. Something about a "twist" between Eggman and Sonic that goes back to the earlier games.
-2 acts - first takes place in standard Sonic areas. 2nd takes place in a darker world
-Remixed classic tunes
-"fully animated cut scenes"
-simple dialogue trees

What a great way to start of the year in gaming. 4 college kids are toughing it out for 48 hours and trying to beat 4 Zelda games: Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess Mask. They even put up a live broadcast of them playing each game and all the viewers are able to watch the game play. Good luck to the 4 of them.

On first note, the xbox live servers seem to be getting alot better. Considering i was finally able to get my account back after 6 days of trying. Gaming online is still a little slow but manageable. Have fun trying to play online.
On a side note, theres a nice poll on the PSN(playstation network) on whether people would like to pay for the PSN service to download PSN games on a monthly payment basis. This is definitely intriguing considering each game costs on average 6.99. I would definitly pay 10$ a month or something a little higher to download PSN games instead of buying them a piece.

So for the past hour i have been trying to recover my live account unsuccessfully. Ive tried this at a buddys house around 10pm earlier in the evening. I was able to create a brand new account though to play halo 3 on. Even with that, halo 3 was slow, laggy and very very inconsistent with match finding. Better luck next year? seriously, all i want to do is play games.
F you MS, ill be playing my Call of Duty on Ps3 now.

Just when I thought that I had completely forgot about this game and would not ever care to hear it's name again, 3d realms releases a new teaser. God do I love to be critical of a game that's been in development for as long as that phantom console. The thing of it is, a few years back sites and game journalist were reporting that this game would blow half-life 2 out of the water and have a better physics engine and better handling of particles and graphics... well since then games like crysis and portal have been released so I am rather interested to see what this game amounts to after nothing but talk and no show.
